Torremolinos Beach Club – illness bug returns?

By Simon Weilding in Holiday Accident and Travel Claims on Monday, February 8, 2010

As specialist holiday illness solicitors, over the past few years Pannone LLP have become aware of certain hotels / resorts where food poisoning outbreaks and stomach bugs occur time and time again.

Once such hotel is the Torremolinos Beach Club in Spain.  This hotel is very popular with British holidaymakers.

We are hearing reports from recently returning guests that there is another outbreak of diarrhoea and vomiting at this hotel.

It is not the first time that this hotel has fallen foul of such an outbreak and once again holidaymakers allege poor standards in relation to food and general hygiene which may have contributed to an outbreak of gastric illness.

Torremolinos Beach Club has had well documented outbreaks dating back as far as 2000 and one group action involved nearly 1000 guests with settlement damages exceeding £2.5m.

If you have suffered from food poisoning whilst abroad, then call our specialist litigation solicitors for immediate advice.
