Former-model Michelle Young has been ordered to leave her £8666-per month Regent’s Park home in the latest twist to her divorce from one-time property tycoon Scot Young.
Mrs Young seeks £200m from her husband after twenty years of marriage. Whilst he claims that his £400m fortune has evaporated in the credit crunch, Mrs Young alleges that it is hidden. Meanwhile, Mrs Young has received no maintenance in almost a year, leaving school fees and rent unpaid, prompting her landlords to seek possession of her Regent’s Park property.
Central London County Court gave Mrs Young 6 weeks to find a new property but did not agree that she faced “exceptional hardship” sufficient to halt her eviction. The effect of this turn of events upon the divorce remains to be seen.
